My Dad ON the BBC

Well, no. That’s a complete lie. He has been dead for over sixty years but, when he was alive, i never got round to thanking him for the wonderful encouragement he always gave during the first nineteen years of my life.

Death is so sudden and final and suddenly, his things were still all around the home but he was not and was gone for good xept in our heads.

Fortunately, a few years ago, I had the opportunity to speak about him and thank him on a BBC Saturday Live program one Saturday morning. IN fact JP, a talented interviewer and editor, came to our home in Peterborough, recorded an hour of me talking about Dad. A few days later I was able to hear the below. Thanks JP and thanks Dad.
